Forth sweat and sun matter not gulls overhead wheeling forth spreading bloodlust the dry wind whispers and howls silent even as hell is brought forth upon flesh upon shield spears held high to the heavens still they march forth eyes burning mad grins to where beautiful death awaits for land and love called forth for honor for glory swift as the 'ere given wings a red path they cut forth fell are many stacked to the sky offerings to the gods themselves graceful even as they lie slain forth seeing nothing save sweet chaos down to the very last warrior finally beneath a curtain of darkness came forth arms raised embracing the revered reaper himself as the heavens open to reveal forth a bravely fought era of freedom - some random poem literature thing i crapped based on 300 woot it's the 100th post on this blog! haha that was random. anyways, just finished watching 300. who gives a shit if i'm not 18, good movies are worth watching. especially those which involve bloody battles from aeons ago. i just love those sort of legend-based movies. although there have been many in the past, like Troy, King Arthur, Alexander, etc etc., i think 300 must have been one of the best movies in this genre. all the gory glory, heads rotating 360 degrees in the air in slow motion, spears and swords stabbing left and right, chunky Spartan men with 8-pecs wearing nothing but red curtains and groin guards roaring in bloodlust, .. the only guy who didn't look halfbad AND didn't have facial hair was beheaded later. D: kind of sad, really. and i kept snorting everytime Dilios appeared because he was Faramir from LOTR, as well as the friar from Van Helsing, so it was kinda hard for me to take him in Spartan garb. which is essentially almost nothing. and of course, the Persian king Xerxes in all his eyeliner glory and highdefined eyebrows could have passed for an exotic metrosexual. *shudders* i may be weird to say this, but the gore didn't get to me. the Persian king did. i was absolutely grossly fascinated with his gay-looking face and chiming voice. 300 is definitely definitely most definitely a must-watch. the graphic effects are absolutely beautiful, and since i was in the room alone chomping on egg tarts for dinner, it was an absolutely glorious experience. 300 is seriously one of the most beautiful movies i have ever seen. no kidding. if you watch it, you'll know what i mean. as for those who have watched it and are literature-savvy, if you can decipher my poem rubbish up there, you'll see why i just had to think of Forth. on the side note, i also watched TMNT on the same day. the soundtrack is awesome. really gave the movie an impact. although i wasn't expecting TMNT to be an animation, but heck. the graphics were good too! gee, after going through DMD orientation, i'm seriously seeing things in a different light now.. |
the round one.
Just your average human specimen wanting to be something more. Also has an absurd fondness for potatoes and shoes, among other things.
