i'm such a sucker for those Chinese historical dramas. there's something so enthralling about them, you know? a lot of people may diss them and say they're for old people with nothing better to do, but i really like them. they're much more fun to watch than dramas set in current times. plus their costumes are so cool. XDDDD i think the latest was aired on Channel U, 神雕侠侣, was it? i didn't really like the plotline for this. this particular novel was overdone. i much prefered 倚天屠龙记, 射雕英雄传, and ZOMG 少年楊家將!! i think it's seriously one of the best i've ever watched. it doesn't get too boring or wordy with politic crap, and it doesn't have too much fighting and stuff. it really tries to portray both the antagonists and the protagonists in a very neutral light, so you feel empathy for both sides. not to mention, since i'm a bit of a feminist, i just love the part when all the women pick up their husbands' weapons and go to war for them because their husbands are all dead. *-* ok i'm crapping now. |
