when i was little, i absolutely hated the monstrosity of a piano sitting in our house. i hated how i had to be dragged by the heels to class. i hated how i had to trudge home to face that hulking instrument. i hated how i had to march my fingers on it over and over. i hated how i had to face up to my mother's expectations. i hated how she would look at me in disappointment. i hated how she would cause these feelings of guilt and confusion. i hated how i know i feel now just like i feel back then. |
