COMICON TIMMMME. soooo yeah. woke up early on a Saturday just to drag myself down to hopefully be the first 1000 to walk in and get a limited edition be@rbrick. there were loads of people there, but we managed to get in the first thousand! we being me, Sam, Daryl, Adz and Gerald. :B  first booth i saw. DSL FTW.  NO WAIT WII FTW  the Star Wars d0rks, of course, made a beeline for the Star Wars booth. sigh.  figurines.  cute figurines.  moar figurines.  MTG booth next door!  Daryl + Darth V + random troopers  Godzilla is d0rk next to Darth V even though i don't even like Star Wars.  Adz can be a serious rival with Darth V when it comes to darkness and menace.  Kamen Rider + Daryl  i don't even know what's Kamen Rider about.  the Zemotion + Noah-kh booth! next door was "THIS BOOTH DOES NOT EXIST"  Zhang Jingna herself! with numerous wacoms at the back.  there was a gorgeous Cintiq at her booth.  IRON MAN'S IRON MASK  he's got that doll in a stranglehold.  THE IFS BOOTH. [breathe!] IFS shots from hereon are captionless. i don't think i need to say anything.       GASP RABBID SIGHTING AGAINNNN  drifted to the  huhwut EVA  topshelf  nice costumes.  the Hangry side of the h.naoto  Rozen  h.Arnachy  Heroes merchandise!  i i i i forgot what this is. D888 it's cool though.  BLING PIG ARGH MY EYESSSS  freaky dolfie.  cool dolfie wig.  i think that armor would be very uncomfortable to wear, especially at the.. groin.  Angeline feel.  retired to the MTG booth, and sat around. this be le Queen.  this be le Badger.  this be le Godzilla getting pwned by some kid  this be le Queen with her beloved MTG. adjourned to Marina Sq for lunch, met Xavier and David, popped to Carls Jr. to see teacher Lynette, USD, Frank and the photogs, drifted back to the con for a bit more, then hit the road for home. Comicon was pretty cool , but again, not quite up to expectations. the crowds were poorly conducted, especially the heavy human traffic in the morning. the freebie counter was flooded with people who have no idea what freebies there are but rush for it anyways because it's freaking free. the IFS booth was better than expected, but, yeah, i know, IFS is just the tip of the iceberg.. still, it was cool meeting those people who look so ordinary and unassuming, but with freaking h4x in their hands. :B i'll be working real hard.. i hope.

i got tagged by Finny to do this absurd quiz thing, most of which place me in weird absurd almost-impossible situations that i can't imagine. still, i'll try to answer this truthfully the best i can. :B #1 If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be? betrayal? that's harsh. i guess in the first place, if he's not the sort to cheat or anything, i'll ask him why, then see how things go. but of course, i'd be shocked and hurt and all. if he was the sort to cheat in the first place, why bother getting together? #2 If you can have a dream to come true, what would it be? a dream come true.. an all-expenses-paid trip to Japan, with first-class tickets and five-star-accomodation for a month or something. :B #3 What will your dream wedding be like? i never thought about this.. uh.. my mind is blank. skip! #4 Are you hungry? i just ate! #5 What’s your ideal lover like? i have never thought about this either! well uh i guess someone who'll accept me for who i am, flaws and flab and all. :B #6 Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone? if it's nonreciprocal love i think to love someone is too painful. but it's awkward being loved if you don't love that person. but keyword here's "blessed", so i'll take loving someone i think. i can't really say why. #7 How long do you intend to wait for someone you really love? if it's a one-way street i'd probably give up waiting for the impossible. a lot of people say they'll wait for their love for eternity, but i doubt it. 1 year at the most, by then i'd probably have moved on. whup. #8 If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do? i don't go for attached people. but IF i'm out of my mind and i do, what the hell can i do about it? i can't go around breaking up happy couples. if they're gunna break up, then i'll go for it. #9 Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days? school. does apathy count as being unhappy? #10 Is being attached fun? the hell i would know, never been through it. #11 How do you see yourself in ten years time? older.. duh. and hopefully more sensible and with awezum l33t h4x and with the people i love and cherish. no duh. #12 Who are currently the most important people to you? is that a rhetorical question? the people in my most inner social circle. #13 What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is? crazy for making me do something like this. but she's been through school with me for 4 years and she hasn't killed me for all the stupid things i did, which i think is incredible. heh. :B #14 Would you rather be single & rich or married but poor? single and rich. #15 What’s the first thing you do every morning? wake up. #16 Would you give all in a relationship? "all" being? depends on the relationship, the duration, the amount of trust etc. i guess. #17 If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick? how do you fall in love with 2 people? i'd understand if it's only physical attraction, but i don't think it's the same with love. then again, mebbe it's plausible, but i don't know, because i've never been in love. woot finally an update. some pics from my cheena trip, though nothing much to say, it was the same ol' same ol'.  the view from the plane. who the heck takes a 6am budget flight? me. the trip was pretty much the same, just that my dad took us up the hill to eat the chicken he's been raving about. i say hill, but it's like twice or thrice the height of Bt. Timah.  the place looks like a freaking construction site.  the raw unfinished interior. gives off that really rural sparse feeling of old cheena.  the view!  strolling about on the.. balcony, of sorts. i bet it's wonderful to eat steaming hot chicken here in winter..  we sit around these stone tables [like the void deck sort] and this.. this is the waiter, manager, chef and dishwasher. well he splits the waiting and dishwashing part with his wife. yeah see how he lights a fire in a hole in the middle of the table.. my dad says he's the only restaurant keeper who scolds his customers if they're unruly.  the soup [made up of some herbs, ginger, spice etc.] boiling in the wok..  the chicken is seriously fresh. you order one, they slaughter one and unceremoniously dump it in the wok and wait for it to boil.  lean mean country mountain chicken. no fat, really. we went through like three or four chickens, and winter melons, and made porridge out of the chicken broth, and ate honey melon which we brought on the way up. awesome way to eat dinner. stayed one night at this Bali-style-wannabe hotel in the middle of a factory area. :| the elevator kept breaking down, the ceilings leaked.. etc. but we did get to eat at our favorite noodle stall.  THESE POTATO STRIPS ARE THE BEST.  the best la mien i've ever tasted. beats DTF and all those poshnosh.  my sister being weird in the car. no it ain't our car, it belongs to a dude called Leong, whom my dad hires as a private cabby kinda thing. so we don't get scammed by random cabbies there. purged and splurged for two days, and ate like peegs while we were at it.  fish in a wok! also cooked in front of you.  spring onion pancakes. fried sin. it was Father's Day, so we went to eat at some 5-star steamboat restaurant. portions were pretty beeg. D8  LIVE PRAWNS SKEWERED ON STICKS. gasp.  my sister makes a horrified face as they twitch and spasm on the skewers. my dad nonchalantly asks her to dump 'em in the steamboat.  she picks one up gingerly, still staring at the twitching prawn.  this isn't a GIF, so you can't see it twitch.  and in the end, my dad promptly tossed them all into the water. and poof! they became cooked prawns. funny, before or after the trip doesn't feel any different, not much of a holiday mood, mebbe because i was procrastinating the first half and the second half was spent in school. D8 woe is me. |
