character sketching at iluma today was fun. okay also kind of tiring, and at some point lackluster, and stuffy, and neck-cramping, and.. and.. and. well okay maybe not so fun. BUT. it's always good to be just sitting around, doodling crazily and laughing at each other. company is always wonderful to have, especially when they're the people you can just hang loose with. caught up with Grace C over dinner, such an unexpected presence! but it was still great to see her :] i sppoz some of the others were wondering since when were we so close, i don't have a clue either, we just.. bonded together i guess. it's so hard to find girlfriends in DMD year 3 can, i still miss the hatters a lot D: but anyways, Grace is so wonderful to be with, or rather, sometimes i'm just grateful for the tiny slips of girl time we have. i didn't know zi hao was the 2d concept guy, i always thought he was the 3d technical staff, you know, i imagined the maya pros to look like him. -stereotype streotype profiling!- guess i was wrong, GEE YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY :D his hand-inked/painted shirts were really stunning, i'm glad i managed to chope one! dude can really start a business doing those shirts, they were snapped up like half-priced Zara shoes. well there were only 3, and ange and i manage to pilfer one each. heeee. but the downright lamentable thing is that since they were done [oh so beautifully!] in ink and watercolor, they won't last the minute you slide them in the gaping maw of the terrible washing machine. such a wondrous invention that keeps our garments hygienic and protects us from yesterday's germ infestations, and yet is robbing us of this fantamogrisphous piece of work. anyone knows how to fix watercolor on shirts? :C hi, my consultation fees start at $50/min. |
