i was just in school today, and everything was so alien and so familiar at the same time. got my mee pok fix from the noodle unker today, and we had like probably the longest conversation ever since year 1, with the bubble tea shop auntie. about my glasses, about why the water was taking so long to boil, about how he should fix a microphone to his stall and risk getting a pork chop thrown at him from the neighboring western stall unker.. yeah, pretty random stuff. my glasses seem to be a real conversation opener.. sure as hell elicited a lot of comments from random strangers on the streets in the states. and this ironically after graduating. |
