i was refraining from blogging about work this week, because i felt like it would have been too hasty to whine based on first impressions and whatnot like i kinda tend to do hurhur. but damn, this was one hell of a week. the guys from the dutch game co we were collaborating(ish) with came over - mr senior game designer D and mr senior programmer I. super funny dutch dudes. i didnt know what to expect, but certainly not this. all this while, i had been communicating through email, and it got so monotonous that sometimes i suspected it was an AI replying me. but hey, turns out now i can match faces to those unfamiliar European names! we had a 1 week sprint, just to see what we could do, and i guess we did more than they expected. i finished most of my stuff, and the rest did pretty good too, seeing as how it was their first time with SCRUM and stuff. i had almost forgotten what production mode felt like - AWESOME. i guess i'd been feeling so dead and useless the past 3 months because i wasn't being productive! -beams- I and D were only here for a week, but it felt like they were the catalyst we needed to break the ice and get things going. before this, we had a week to get to know each other, and it was.. awkward. for me at least. but they came along and just, pop, everybody's laughing and closer and the atmosphere was really nice. well there are some other issues, but.. whatever. minor. nothing i can't handle. i hope. i hope the rest of the production weeks go as well as they did the past 5 days. -pumps fist- and i have seen your face, mr 92 halftone eyes. i now know who to voodoo. oh and here's a photo of I and D eating Murtabak: ![]() |
